Still Working and Playing Hard

This weeked the Eads Eagle basketball teams played Springfield on Friday at Springield. The girls basketball team had a successfull game taking home the victory and defeated Springfield with a final score of 49-32. The boys played a really good game going into over time, but lost to Springfield with a final score of 53-46. Both of the teams had another basketball game on Saturday against Walsh in Eads. The girls and the boys both had a victory defeating Walsh. The girls had a final score of 33-20. The Eads girls are now 4-0, good job girls! The boys had a second night of going into over time, and defeated Walsh with a final score of 50-45. Both of the teams played with good hear and did a great job. They now have the Holiday Basketball Tournament in Lamar this weekend. Good Luck Eagles!

Last week the Eads wrestling team had a quad-meet on Thursday against Limon and Las Animas in Eads. They also had big tournament on Saturday in Limon. The Eads wrestling team placed 4th out of a pool of 23 teams. Seniors Taylor Weirich and Justin Lenox were tournament champions. Reagan Lane placed 2nd, and Blaine Winder placed 3rd in the tournament. Next the Eads wrestlers go to Holly for another tournament.

Successful First Week

Last week the Eads Eagle basketball teams went to Deer Trail on Thursday. The girls came home with a victory defeating Fowler with a final score of 50-41. Unfortunately the boys got defeated their first game with a final score of 62-36. On Friday the girls and the boys both played Fowler in Eads. They both had a successful game dominating the Fowler Grizzlies. The girls had an amazing defeat and ended their game with a final score of 55-16, they are now 2-0 at the beginning of the basketball season. The boys also played great and ended their game with a final score of 51-48.

The Eads Eagle wrestling team also did a great job. The whole team together did not place in the tournament in Akron on Saturday, but we had several individuals place in their weight limits. Justin Lenox won 4th at 285lbs. Blake Robertson won 2nd at 126lbs. Reagan Lane also won 2nd at 132lbs. Taylor Weirich won 1st at 160lbs. They all worked hard and did a great job. Good Job to all of the Eads Eagles!
